1/30/2009 10:27:00 AM
Bungee jumping is very popular among thrill-seekers. Wikipedia defines it as "an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord."
However, in Russia, the fad among youngsters is rope-jumping which is very similar to bungee jumping. The catch? there is no harness, no safety gear, no elastic cord! These brave Russians just tie their ankles by means of ropes to the roofs of houses and jump. What if the rope doesn't work? Ouch!

Hospitalis, a hospital-themed restaurant, opened recently in Riga, Latvia. The food is placed in flasks and operating room dishes while being served by waitresses in nurses uniforms. Meanwhile, the customers may opt to be tied in straightjackets with bibs. Interesting concept, eh?
The food is a bit pricey here, however. A typical dish is costs 7Lats (around US$12) but it is worth the experience, sources say. You might be asking yourselves where the restaurant got its concept - the place is owned by doctors
