Australia pays homage to its actors who made significant contributions to the international film industry by putting their faces on stamps. The Australia Post recently issued eight stamps featuring four great Australian actors, Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush.
Two stamps are issued for each actor, one showing their portrait and one for the role which earned them an Academy Award or a nomination. The stamps of these four stars are dubbed as "Australian Legends" and have been made available since January 22, 2009 at participating post offices or online at www.austpost.com.au/legends
