The 81st Academy Awards will be held on February 22, 2009 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. But before the Oscars make their way to the hands of the respective winners, these hand-crafted statuettes are moulded, finished and gold-plated at R.S. Owens & Co. in Chicago, Illinois.
