MAC no longer immune to attacks?

1/27/2009 02:21:00 PM

The days of the MAC being invincible, virtually impenetrable by viruses and malwares, is now only a thing of the past no thanks to sinister developers. As the popularity of the MAC grew, so did its susceptibility to attacks. Since more and more developers get acquainted with its operating system, a lot more people get attracted into toying with the computer's security issues.

Reports confirm that a malware attack embedded in a BitTorrent was found to have infected around 20,000 MACs, as of press time. Once said malware is installed in the MAC, the malware's creator can take complete control over the infected computer.

To prevent this from occuring, MAC users are advised to download and install software only from legitimate sources. They are also encouraged to install anti-virus and security software.

1/26/2009 07:45:00 PM

OX
1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009

Zodiac’s Nature:
Hard working, strong, down to earth, reliable, courageous, quiet, loyal, intelligent, helpful, self-confident, easygoing & brilliant in organizing. A natural-born leader who works systematically though can be a little slow. Is responsible towards family and believes in authority. Sometimes may be too stubborn and not open to changes and new ideas.

People born in the year of the Ox are said to be offending the Grand Duke (Tai Suey). Financially, it is not an optimistic year. They should avoid putting their money in high-risk investments. They have to be cautious when engaged in business; they must clearly read and double check any contract or documents before signing, Apart from this, they should avoid lending money to others. It is lucky that there is a Creative Star that shines bright; if Oxen are smart enough, they can still earn abundant money within the year. In love affairs, single ladies should be cautious and not fall into a love trap. Married couples should reach a mutual understanding to avoid quarrelling. Regarding health, they should keep away from sharp objects and practise road safety. Pay special attention when driving in the highway; try to avoid talking on the phone. Try to avoid any dangerous sports. The young generation, especially, should avoid too much nightlife.

On the other hand, due to the influence of the lonely star, they have to be careful to handle relationships with clients, colleagues and benefactors. Money luck is quite promising and stable. It is important that they be more conservative in handling their work or business, thinking thoroughly before they act. In love affairs, due to the romantic star under the sign, single female Tigers may meet their dream lover and may get married this year. Married Tigers will have the chance to have a newborn baby in their family. Because of the presencef the sickness star, Tigers should be conscious of personal hygiene and watch their diet. Submit a design, earn $2,500

1/26/2009 12:14:00 PM

Have you always wanted to express yourself through fashion? Why not get richer in the process too?

The skinyCorp LLC company, owner of Threadless Tees, has been having this program in their website where t-shirt aficionados can submit their designs for a chance to earn US$2,500.

Here are the mechanics:

1. Get your idea ready to be submitted...
Take some time to come up with the best original idea you can think of. We're not talking your fraternity's logo or a photo of your new puppy. We're talking an idea so amazing that your eyeballs may explode if you stare too long!

Use our submission kit (check out their website) for templates and to learn about all the various incredibly awesome specialty ink and print methods we offer.

2. Submit your ideas to Threadless...
Use the templates provided in the submission kit to prepare your design files. Click the "Submit a design" button below, follow the instructions and fill out the form to submit your design for presentation to the Threadless community.

3. The community rates and comments on your idea...
Over a period of 7 days, the Threadless community will score and comment on your submission. These scores and comments will help us decide which designs should become the next Threadless tees!

4. If your idea is selected for print, you'll receive:
  • $2,000 in cash
  • $500 Threadless Gift Certificate (can be redeemed for $200 cash)
  • $500 in cash each time your design is reprinted
  • Up to $20,000 more if you win a "Bestee" in the Threadless Awards
  • Alumni Club membership including a Medal of Honor and other goodies
For more information, go to Threadless.com/submit
